Thank you for the post Paula. Regarding #5 on your list ('Don’t make it easy for pickpockets by...'), here's a picture I took while riding the elevator at the Eiffel Tower. Clearly pickpockets are a problem in Paris.

Never, but I am curious.

Side note: Unless she's protecting herself from the cold, the lady in the background is covering her nose/mouth. Something stinky in the air?

"The NBA is better when the Lakers are good. :)"

Oh, fo' sho'. I really miss the Lakers being good. But hey, I also miss the old hand-checking rules, let them play playoff officiating, the bad-boy Pistons, Celtics and Ewing/Knicks being in the mix. I miss nasty, highly-contested rivalries where pl ... Read more

Given Clinton's experience as Obama's former Secretary of State, she certainly has more foreign policy experience than Sanders. Being a former First Lady also helps. I find Sanders to still be a bit green w/ his knowledge of world events (hot spots) and articulating, in detail, his own foreign polic ... Read more

Nice recap. Unfortunately I missed the 3 point contest, but I did catch the dunk contest (very entertaining!). Klay is probably the NBA's best catch and shoot player. Best shooter off the dribble, by a mile, is his backcourt mate. Speaking of which, I'm curious of Steph's shooting percentage off the ... Read more

Ah yes, good ole 'political capitalism'. Largely un-involved with civic responsibility and the political process, we have allowed our economic and political system to be controlled by the economic & political elite who cooperate for their mutual benefit. Yes, it's all very interesting indeed! We often instantaneously form an opinion when seeing someone for the first time (even before they speak one word). I vividly remember one distinct opinion I had of you the second before Brendan introduced us (we'll laugh about it over a beer :).

Because Sander ... Read more

Oh the hypocrisy. Front page of the Washington Post today: "Clinton blasts Wall St., but rakes in millions from banking titans" wapo.st/1Sv4P1N.

This is one of the main reasons for why the far-left of the Democratic party does not support her.

If I was a casting director looking for an actor who looks presidential, Sanders would not qualify. At times disheveled, he simply doesn't look the part. Appearances matter, if for no other reason than our human instinct of profiling people. That said, I am happy that so many look beyond veneer appe ... Read more
