Iran’s Leader seeks to eliminate possibility of war with the US, but hints at other equally important concerns. But what are Ayatollah’s other concerns that are no less important than war?

Shair jan thanx for another good one.
Another equally important issue of contention between the Islamic regime and West that is not getting any exposure is the issue of "Anti-Money Laundering Reliance Agreement" (AML) and "Counter-Terrorism Financing Act" (CTFA). Although mullahs have already expressed commitment to implementing both AML & CTFA but nothing has happened yet. Due to the pressures from guess who?
Sepah, of course, and for obvious reasons.
Latest warning has been a three weeks deadline and possibility of IR getting back to the blacklist of AML and CTFA.
This could and will be a significant hurdle for any new substantial foreign direct investment projects.
Tens and hundreds of demonstrations throughout Iran (practically on a daily basis), by depositors who have lost their monies, demonstrates the systematic, officially sanctioned corruption and dysfunctionality of the financial system in IR.

If Eye-ran really didn't want to end up in direct military conflict with the US and allies, it's foreign policy would be quite different.

Alas, a reasonable person could not argue that Iran is taking all practicable measures to get itself off the path to war with America.

Leaving the hostile actions of Iran's opponents aside for a moment, there are things Iran could do to reduce the risk of war, but they aren't happening. That is the fault of no-one but Iran.

The mere existence of the regime and its raison d'être puts it on a perpetual path of conflict with the US. Nothing short of regime change or humiliating capitulation to Western demands will meaningfully alter the friction. Plus, keeping Iran as the boogeyman of the region is a boon for American business (arm sales).

As much as the Iranian boogeyman is a cash cow, I'm afraid war with Iran, and the ensuing mess that could last decades, would be a much bigger revenue stream for the military industrial complex of not only the US but every player in the war.
