The start of something much bigger?
Yes, for a number of obvious different reasons, these spontaneous mass protests are just the begging of a long and extensive waves of strikes & mass protests:
First & foremost, the economic dynamics which have polarized Iranian society (neoliberalism) into a nation of majority have nots, with a minority that ownes the country, will continue its polarizing effects.
2) Rohany's administration has no plans to remedy the situation & create different economic circumstances, his national budget is all about beefing up the security forces & allocating more monies to backward, superstitious, useless religious foundations.
3) Sepah & IR's security forces lack the capacity to deescalate confrontations, their only approach to crowd control is "an iron fist," which will definitely backfire & augment these protests even more.
4) Last & definitely not least, the people at this juncture feel like they have nothing to lose, but the chains that have enslaved us in our own country for the past 38 years
Next year will be the 40th anniversary of the events that ended with Islamic Republic of Hell.
Next year might very well also prove to be the beginning of the end for Islamic Republic of Hell.
About damn time!
