And yet people are so desperate that time and again knowigingly fall in the regime's well-well-choreographed trap.

As 'well' choreographed as this farce might have been, not only this 'election' hasn't resolved any of the contradictions within Islamic state of Iran, but all internal and external conflicts, disputes and clashes are sharpening.
Suffice to say Islamic state's economy, markets and industrial production will continue to decline at an alarming rate, as predicted on numerous occasions by government officials and the Center for Statistics in Iran.
On the voters side, it might be a sort of desperately hopeless meeting the desperately ruthless, with some varieties in between.
And as usual there are the millions who don't vote. Some of these non-voters are people who openly and adamantly boycott this (paraphrasing Michael Moor) shit show of 'democracy.'

For more clarity on paraphrasing Michael Moor's statement about 'the shit show," the original and some remarks might be in order.

What Mr. Moor warns people about, is what Iranians have experienced in Islamic state of Iran's Shiite shit-show, for the past 38 years.
Clergy's violent domination of most social spaces in our land is a fact no one could ignore.

Iraj Khan,
Only those who were on payroll by criminal mullahs participated in that ridiculous election. People who have government job are afraid to lose their jobs so they participate in election. Voting centers put a stamp the birth certification on people who vote. The birth certificate show if they vote or NOT. Sometimes the food center avoid to give food in discount price for people who don't have stamp on their birth certification.
There is a center on Villa Ave. in Tehran by the name of EDAREH E GOZENESH. That office overseas and supervise all the government employees. The youths who want to apply for any government job. I had to go through that center as well. Edareh Gozenesh also interviewed me, even though I had government job for 3 years. The first thing they requested was my birth certification. They wanted to see if I voted. I told them I lost my birth certification. They appeared NOT to believe me. The first interview question was :
How many shrouds the dead person wear ? The dead person shroud has 5 piece and I answered it. The second question was:
why Soreh Tobeh in Koran doesn't have opening statement of "In the name of God merciful and compassionate".
The interview took 2 hours and after 1 week I received a letter for dismissal from my government job.

Total nonsense, many people voted out of desperation and continued illusions.
It's interesting how both regime's lobbyists & monarchist thugs have a kneejerk, preconceived reaction about their opponents.
For regime lobbyists millions of Iranians that didn't take part in the sham 'election' are labeled as Saudi & Israeli pawns.
For criminal monarchists ordinary Iranians who participated in this farce are automatically turned into "others" and categorized as 'enemy.'
Such propagandist approach to politics by both regime lobbyists & monarchist thugs betrays their intolerance and lack of respect for contrary views.
