Newly retired farmboy with an aversion to hate and a devotion to equality. My BFF is a bulldog named Dalyla and I was recently best man in a wedding. That means two people find me super duper.

1. Oklahoma was not part of the confederacy. Neither was the territory which preceded it.
2. Thanks for proving the point of those who believed the flag should come down.

It's amazing how vehemently my home state insists on being on the wrong side of history. And by amazing I mean repeatedly sad.

Incredible how large these companies are with such a huge market shut off to them. And, sad for the people of China how oppressive their government is.

@said as you can attest, I'm not much for selfie/photo apps but this seems like a brilliant idea to me. It's hard to judge by the article but sounds like they didn't have some basics which could have helped their retention.

Your last point ("frontback" style photos becoming a standard option) is an interesting one and seems logical to me. People love taking pictures of themselves and other things (i.e. food), which is why if found it interesting.

"As opposed to Facebook’s measurement of video views, bolstered by its autoplay feature, YouTube clocks total viewed hours as a better means of tracking actual engagement."

An actual metric rather than fluff via annoyance. How novel.

The title is misleading as this app has nothing to do with the "missed connection" concept. The app notifies you of anyone else using said app within 30 feet.

As the article points out, this does little for the women who faced his abuse. But there is something to be said for owning it and changing ones ways. Let's hope he actually has changed.

I love this idea!

I definitely like the suggestion of adding restaurants as well. Take out the debate, just go and enjoy yourself.

I loved Roadhouse growing up and while I'm not certain I like the idea of remaking it, I am 100% behind Rousey playing the role of Dalton. It's rather fitting as Dalton was repeatedly told "I thought you'd be bigger", which will take on a new light with Dalton being a woman.

I'm not an AirBNB user (it's just not my style) and while I would find it a bit awkward to be in a strangers home for a meal, I love this concept for exploring and learning about new cultures.

"...more than 75% of total users live outside the US."

I had no idea they had such market penetration outside the US. Although, with nearly 319 million people in the US, that means nearly 1/3rd have Instgram. That's impressive.
