I agree. A great piece if only we could follow it and live the moment despite our imperfections.

FYI, the surname 'Pahalvi' was stolen from another Iranian family.
These murdering thieves real surname is 'Savadkohi'.
Also keep in mind that these well dressed thugs came into power through a coup empowered by the most reactionary Shia clerics in Iran. See the photo below.
Last but definitely not least the criminal monarchist cult has zero future in Iran, since even their own demented base has abandoned and shunned their clown 'prince'. See the link:

Great article! I loved the self-disclosure...the transparency inside of her trials to reach guru-dom was awesome. I know so many people, including myself can relate to this.

Along the line of being "true to oneself", a major component of psychoanalysis and their main critique of Behaviorism is that our unconscious is a source of repressed desire, maladjustments,...and not so readily accessible through analysing behaviour patterns.
In Lacanian Psychoanalysis, the human subject is always split between a conscious side, a mind that is accessible, and an unconscious side, a series of drives and forces which remain inaccessible. For Lacan the Unconscious is structured like a language.
It's very interesting that both Behaviorism and Psychoanalysis have an emphasis and premium on language and its central role in shaping our thought processes.

Thanks for sharing this inspiring and thought provoking piece. Although in real life it is not always easy to be fully in control, I think trying to be true to oneself is the first step in the right direction.

This is true...we get worn down for many other reasons other than sleep deprivation. Acknowledging the difference can turn a person's life around, as long as he or she is willing to take action. Thanks for posting!

An inspiring piece! Our world would be a better place if, at least from time to time, we could step out of our egocentrism and see what is going on around us.
