The tragic thing about this article, is that the facts get in the way. Its not about liberal or conservative, its not about deep state or shallow state, its not about law abiding or criminal citizens --- its about democracy in the United States. Its about ALL Americans, and the hijacking of the 2016 election. The theft of democracy. When there is (a) irrefutable facts that prove Russian intelligence intrusion into state electoral computer systems, (b) Russian intelligence theft of Hillary and Podesta's emails from the DNC and private servers, (c) when we have established Politico's Mannafort and Stone (and their business partners) with established connections and money trails to Russia (and close to Putin Oligarchs) suddenly rise out of no-where to lead Trump's campaign (ESTABLISHED, PROVEN), (d) over 87 illicit connections with Russian operatives that Trump associates (Lynch, etc.) lied about and tried to hide (e) Trump and his own family with deep connections (financial and social) with Russian Oligarchs close to Putin, (f) Trump's constant efforts to shut down the investigation in the Justice Department and (g) a slew of over 20 suspicious deaths of Russian intermediaries between Putin and Trump's campaign -- there is simply NO question that there was clear, Russian interference and collusion. And Brennan, Clapper, and Hayden are rightly - correctly sounding the alarm and informing American voters at a critical time. Only RT could publish an article like this, and keep the Trump propaganda rolling. The interference and collusion was too widespread to be quashed and shut down. Just can't kill enough people or bribe enough people to quash it. It's basically over for Trump, and its NOT the deep-state that will put the nails in the coffin, it will be ordinary Americans trying to get their democracy back. Its the "system" - which placed power in the people, and with three equal but separate branches of government (separation of powers) - that will ULTIMATELY guarantee AMERICAN democracy. This is a test for America. And Putin will come out on the wrong end of it. To interfere or collude with Trump was a mistake for Putin (and his Saudi, Netenyahu cohorts). America is too big for them. If by 'deep' - you mean the depth, breadth and dispersed basis of power in the U.S. - then okay use the term 'deep-state', but otherwise it is 'simply' the state (where power is held for the people by the people) that will win the day. F*** Trump

How to deal with the corrupt right-wing presidency in the United States according to Macron following the German foreign minister on the same subject:
"This reinforced solidarity will imply a revision of the European architecture of defense and security: by initiating a renewed dialogue on cybersecurity, chemical weapons, conventional weaponry, territorial conflicts, space security, the protection of the polar zones, in particular with Russia,” Macron said.

If Europe can't depend on the US for security, then it had better wind back its unsustainable socialist programmes and start spending more on border control and defence, because at the moment, with the partial exception of the UK, the Europeans are still gunning at full speed for their own version of socialist utopia, which like all other utopias, exists in theory only - it will never be realized, and the current project will eventually collapse like all before it. Europe depends on the US for very good reasons, primarily the fact that the Europeans couldn't stop killing each other until the US stepped in to impose and enforce stability. Take that away and watch the fighting begin again.

"Maas outlines how Europe can defend its own interests against Donald Trump's attacks. For the foreign minister, Trump's unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal (JCPOA) crossed a "red line." Trump replaced an international agreement that was aimed at making the region safer with a US sanctions regime that could bleed the Iranian economy dry. Europe "must form a counterweight — as difficult as that can be," he says."

"Assad may have won the war, but that doesn’t mean you ignore such strong evidence of crimes against humanity."

He didn't win the war. He just survived it - so far. It would not surprise me at all if the US had another go at getting rid of him later.

Cheap blackmail:
Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the PLO's executive committee, accused the US of using "cheap blackmail as a political tool".

"The Palestinian people and leadership will not be intimidated and will not succumb to coercion. The rights of the Palestinian people are not for sale," she said.

Today is a good day after a long uphill hike.
Manafort was convicted and Cohen started to sing. As for Trump his real problems starts after he leaves office. All the charges which will be brought against him the bribery, the connection and dealing with Russian mafia, Russian oligarchs and Putin. oh my.

The way forward for the Democrats in the next Presidential election, senator Elizabeth Warren:

@SenWarren
.@realDonaldTrump is running the most corrupt administration of our lifetimes. Tomorrow, I’ll unveil sweeping new legislation to clean up our government. Until then, I’ll be sharing examples of how corruption has seeped into Washington. It’s a long list. #EndCorruptionNow

Btw check the global market share of iPhone... it's below 20%, so Turkey is no different to the global trend. Which makes me wonder, what is the point of targeting a minor market player, especially when the main competition is still intimately tied to the US via its OS? Yeah Erdogan, you're still an idiot.
