Flint isn't the only city with lead in its water; there are dozens of cities & I found it wasteful that single serve bottles were/are distributed vs. gallon or larger sized containers were not used...also, why weren't any of the auto firms which were responsible for the destruction of the river & its pipes held responsible?

"I grew up Jewish, in an environment strongly supportive of the Israeli state. But I don’t support the way Israel treats the Palestinians, particularly when they slaughter unarmed people as they did this week.
My parents sent me to 13 years of Jewish Sunday school, complete with a Bat Mitzvah and all."

Over 50 years and did not learn anything... How much longer does it take to reach a pacifist solution?

I am bored with the Israeli-Palestinian problem.

After 50 years, they know exactly what needs to be done.

Both sides are annoying.

Indeed, a powerful voice. And yet it is followed by Zionists' propaganda machine. US corporate media cannot afford being impartial.

'When Palestinians fight for their national rights, we are called “terrorists.” When we demonstrate in non-violent ways and are killed by the occupying forces, we are called “suicidal;”'

And what are they called when they repeatedly say no to the best offers they were ever going to get, ranging from a single shared secular state with restricted Jewish immigration to various two state solutions, and spend decades vowing that Israel should not exist despite the realities on the ground, repeatedly taking on the Jews and losing? I don't know what you call that, but it's nothing good. The Arabs have contributed to their own misery in a BIG way. That is why the only material help they get in their fight is from the haters of Israel, like our glorious Islamic Republic, which also maintains its own childish and doomed struggle against Zionism.

"The human rights community has spent years articulating the nature of Israel’s occupation under international law and the responsibility of third-parties to end it."

But once those third parties take a closer look at the situation, they are repulsed and perplexed by the conduct of BOTH parties - the Jews and Arabs. They are repulsed so much that they do not feel justified in trying to help them any more than what we see.

That supposed outrage amounts to virtually zero material support beyond some humanitarian aid. We know noone is coming to save the Palestinians. Not the rest of the Arabs, not the West, not Russia, not even Iran, which will only give them enough rope to continue hanging themselves. There's no nice way of saying these guys are screwed, but they are. I don't know what they can do.

Two eye-opening interviews. Listen especially to the one with Norman Finkelstein and his documentation of Israeli government's atrocities aided by the US successive presidents. Earlier today, I also posted his latest book: Gaza: An inquest into its martyrdom.

It is sad, but the Arabs sold them out from the very beginning, before Israel even existed, and they made some terrible decisions themselves. That situation allowed the Jews to easily move in and take over. These protests over an embassy move are just madness. As with Iran, I like to focus on personal responsibility here. Notwithstanding atrocities committed by Israel, the fact is that the Arabs have totally fkd this up for themselves.

Well, Kuwait did just try to pass a UNSC resolution. It was of course vetoed by the US. But anyway, the Palestinians have been abandoned by the world, including their closest relatives.

@Cyrus,
I'm beginning to deconstruct your comments and positions about Iran, Iran Deal, Israel, US, Europe, Palestinians and a few other subjects. These are my conclusions so far:

You are knowingly pushing a line of 'Defeatism and 'Getting used' to atrocities as they destroy lives and livelihood of the people in Middle East. I think I'm familiar with this narrative from before and it goes as follow:

1. You 'Sympathize' with their pain and show empathy towards the victims
2. You Tell them 'it is what it is and nothing will change the status quo'
3. You encourage them to 'Not to take any steps' to change the situation.
4. It was prescribed by an Israel lobby troll on the old IC.
Tell me that I'm wrong.

Arab countries don't even pretend any more to support Palestinians in word. They are in bed with Netanyahu as are the White house and the congress.

Yes, Palestinians have lost, but for NOW.

Protests in Iran aimed at improving the country are dangerous, but a worthwhile undertaking, but these protests against Israel are only for those with a deathwish. Noone will stop the massacre. The other Arab states care about Palestinians in word only, and Iran only cares because it hates Israel. We are witnessing the displacement of a weaker population by a stronger one, something that has happened many times before in the history of humanity. The Palestinians have lost.
